2025 Investment Management Summer Analyst Program - Global Risk and Analysis (New York)

General Description
The Investment Management Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program consisting of one week of training and nine weeks working within a specific IM team. Across all IM teams, the curriculum is designed to equip Summer Analysts with the fundamental skills they need to be successful in IM. During the 10-week program, Summer Analysts experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley by performing a role similar to a Full-Time Analyst.
Training Program
• In-depth exposure to various functional areas within risk - Investment Risk (Market Risk, Liquidity, Counterparty, Seed capital hedging), Performance Analytics, Operational Risk, Model Control, GIPS
• Exposure to senior management and support from a direct manager and mentor(s).
• Throughout the summer: various technical and developmental trainings, community service opportunities, networking and educational events in order to be fully immersed in Risk and the Firm's culture. Role and Responsibilities
• Engage with all risk functions to support a team wide effort to create, enhance and rationalize our risk management content collateral.
• Work directly with MSIM head of risk on executive presentations
• Enhance risk functions specific content on the internal JIVE site
• Re-design the risk team capabilities deck, to showcase value add and how we interact with our stakeholders
• Assist with an effort to standardize board and committees' decks
• Various project work related to how the risk team markets its capabilities Please note the roles and responsibilities of a Summer Analyst are not limited to the above .
Qualifications and Skills
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree and will graduate between December 2025 and June 2026
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and track record of academic excellence.
• Team player with high EQ who can easily pivot from creative to analytical projects.
• Experience and interest in quantitative subjects (via curriculum, extracurricular activities, or previous
employment experience).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adept at solving problems and improving processes.
• Ability to analyze processes, data and synthesize meaningful summaries.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Financial Services Industry experience a plus. Application Process and Deadline

Expected base pay rate for the role will be $43.27 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
